3 Days to Go: v3 Arrives October 1st

Something big is landing in three days. On October 1st, we're launching v3, the biggest update we've ever put together for 3D-Lithophane.com. If you've been juggling tabs between different tools to get a print done, that's about to change.

One place for everything

The idea behind v3 is simple: you shouldn't need to hunt around for the right tool. Whether you're starting with the Flat lithophane maker, wrapping a photo round a lamp with the Curved lithophane tool, or checking a model is print-ready with Print Doctor, it should all feel like one connected workshop rather than a pile of separate pages.

We've spent months tidying up the flow between tools. Make a lithophane, tune it to your filament with the Filament calibration tool, then send it straight to the print simulator to watch it slice and print layer by layer before you commit any filament to the bed. That kind of joined-up workflow is what v3 is really about.

What's new for makers

We're not ready to spill every detail yet, but we can tell you this release touches nearly every corner of the site, from the lithophane makers to the 3D Designer and the everyday tools like Text to STL and Image to STL. If you design as well as print, you'll notice things move more smoothly, with less clicking back and forth to get a job done.

We've also been listening. Plenty of you have told us over the past few months what slows you down or what you wish existed. A good chunk of v3 comes directly from that feedback, and we're glad to finally be able to show it rather than just talk about it.

Three days left

We test everything on our own Creality, Bambu, TwoTrees and AnyCubic printers and more than 32 kilograms of PLA, PETG and TPU filament, before it ever reaches the site, so what lands on October 1st will already have been through real prints, not just a screen. That's always mattered to us more than shipping something fast.

If you're a Supporter, nothing changes about your plan, you'll simply have more tools working better together. If you're on a free account, you'll still get your daily downloads, just from a site that finally feels like it was built as one thing instead of twenty.
