Make the parts that finish a lithophane: a lid that sits on top, a pedestal base underneath, or a stand or easel back for a flat panel. Choose a round, rectangular or polygon cross-section to match a cylinder, cube or lantern, and a lid that caps over the outside or drops in as a plug.
Add a centre hole for the LED, a notch for the cable, vents, a knob or hanging loop, a chamfered or rounded border, a knurled grip or embossed text. A stand for a flat panel has a slot behind the lithophane for an LED strip, open at the ends for the lead. Downloading the STL needs a free account.
Choose the same shape and outer size as the body, pick a cap or a drop-in plug, and set the fit to tight, normal or loose. Measure the printed lamp for the size, and print the test ring first.
