Gridfinity is a modular storage system built on a 42 mm grid: baseplates sit in a drawer, and bins of any size click into them. This generator makes bins, baseplates and lids to the published measurements, so they fit parts made by everyone else.
Choose the size in grid units, or type the space you need to fill and let it work out the units. Add compartments, a label tab, a finger scoop, a stacking lip, and magnet or screw holes, or make a quick vase-mode bin. One grid unit is 42 × 42 mm, and one height unit is 7 mm. A 2 × 3 × 6 bin is 84 × 126 mm across and six height units tall.
No. Bins stay put in a baseplate on their own. Magnets (6 × 2 mm) or M3 screws help when a drawer is opened hard or the bins are carried.
Yes: enter the free size in millimetres. It will be a plain box without the Gridfinity foot, and the page tells you so, because a part that cannot sit in a baseplate should not pretend to.
A bin printed as a single spiral wall, with no infill and no layer changes, which is much quicker. The foot is a separate part printed normally and glued on.
