Free 3D printer calibration test prints

Calibration models sized to your printer and labelled so you can read the result, including an XYZ cube, first-layer patches, a dimensional accuracy gauge, an elephant's foot gauge, a warping plate, a temperature tower, a retraction and stringing test, a flow cube, a cooling spire, overhang and bridging tests, small pins, a text legibility ladder, a clearance gauge, a hole size gauge and a thin wall test.

Each one is generated in your browser and comes with how to read it.

Frequently asked questions

Which calibration print should I do first?

Start with the first layer, then dimensional accuracy, then elephant's foot. Temperature, flow and retraction come after: tuning retraction on a printer with a bad first layer wastes filament.

How do I use a temperature tower?

Set your slicer to change the temperature at each floor, hottest at the bottom. Pick the coolest floor whose layers still bond well and whose bridge does not sag.

What is elephant's foot?

The bulge at the bottom of a print where the first layers are squashed wider. The gauge measures it, and most slicers have a setting to compensate.

Should I print test prints with special settings?

No. Use the layer height, speed and filament you really print with, or the result will not describe your real prints.

Are the calibration prints free?

Yes, every one of them.
